Amigos For Kids was created in 1991 by a small group of child advocates with a purpose: prevent child abuse. Today, nearly 25 years later, the organization is regarded and respected as one of the leading non-profits in South Florida.

The organization’s work continues to be recognized. Most recently, Amigos was honored by The Children’s Trust, one of the organization’s main funders, as its Program of the Year. In addition, Amigos received the coveted 4-star rating for fiscal excellence by CharityNavigator.org; this is the fifth time over a seven year period.

Amigos responds — each and every day — to the diverse needs of abused children and underprivileged families through myriad programs, including our abuse prevention message, There’s NO Excuse For Child Abuse!®, which has reached national audiences.

This year, it was my privilege to be a part of the annual Amigos For Kids Toy Drive that receives toy donations from any and everyone interested. We gave out toys at various locations throughout South Florida.

All day, The Amigos For Kids Holiday Toy Caravan embarked on a joy filled journey of delivering and distributing gifts at various locations throughout South Florida with Santa Claus, celebrities and hundreds of volunteers. The Amigos For Kids Holiday Toy Drive is helped by volunteers and corporate sponsors. It collects and delivers special holiday wishes to disadvantaged children from various community programs throughout South Florida. Hundreds of individual sponsors participate in the toy drive. Many contributions come from family members, co-workers and fellow members of church congregations and other groups. In addition to personal contributions, a large number of corporate sponsors assist in the success of this toy drive.

MUCH LOVE TO ALL!
