HEALTHY FRENCH TOAST

 

Ingredients:

 

  • 6 whole grain or whole wheat bread slices
  • 2 tbsp of milk
  • 1 tbsp of greek yogurt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • dash of pink salt
  • tsp of vanilla extract

Directions: I personally like to remove edges of bread slices, then set aside. Whisk together in a bowl the eggs, milk, yogurt vanilla extract and spices until you get a well incorporated mixture. Dip the bread slices in the mixture until soaked. Spray hot skillet with coconut oil and place soaked bread slices to fry on each side until well done. Serve warm, drizzle maple syrup and top with berries and banana for extra flavor!
