Natural sweetener (raw honey or stevia)
Your favorite milk (organic cow’s milk or nut milk)
Your favorite fruit (berries, banana, mango)
Chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts or cashews)
Chia seeds (optional)
1 or more mason jars with lids.
This has to be the simplest of recipes, and the most convenient, too. Soaking oats overnight allows them to absorb all the yummy flavors of the ingredients in the mix and makes them soft, cool and ready to eat.
In a medium bowl, mix the milk with the sweetener and chia seeds, then incorporate the oats and chopped nuts. Place the whole mixture in a mason jar or topper ware. You can add mixture then layer with fruit and add more of the mixture on top for several fruit layers or just top off the mixture with one fruit layer. Close jars with lids and let them sit in the fridge overnight. Go to sleep. Wake up and eat. =)
