GRILLED SALMON WITH BLUEBERRY SALAD
… for breakfast?!
That is CORRECT. Inspired by my personal trainer who suggested salmon for breakfast (HUH?!), this dish actually turned out to be much tastier and enjoyable than I thought. Go about your day with an open mind and give this a try, I promise you you’ll love it.
Reading Dr. Mark Hyman books (Eat Fat, Get Thin / The Blood Sugar Solution) I realize that fueling on mostly veggies, fruit, lean proteins, nuts and seeds can be one of the smartest lifestyle choices you can make for youth, weight management and longevity.
Cut out grains, processed foods and dairy for a week and you’ll see what I mean.
FOR NOW, enjoy this recipe that is loaded with Omega 3, antioxidants and fiber! I cooked it myself this morning and as always, felt compelled to take a picture of it and share it with you.
And remember! … Quoting Dr. Hyman himself, “Some calories are addictive, others healing, some fattening, some metabolism-boosting. That’s because food doesn’t just contain calories, it contains information. Every bite of food you eat broadcasts a set of coded instructions to your body—instructions that can create either health or disease.”
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
- salmon filet
- roasted almonds
- sunflower seeds
- sea salt
Grill the salmon filet as you normally would on a hot pan with olive oil or coconut oil spray. In a separate pan, warm up spinach and peas and season with sea salt. Wash blueberries, take a small handful of roasted almonds and …well place it all in a bowl and munch it up! =)
Quite simple, sencillo, presto, enjoy.
