SILVIA TCHERASSI RUNWAY SHOW kicks off Miami Fashion Week 2017!
The audience was an obviously well-heeled crowd that anticipated many of Tcherassi’s trends, from the many off-the-shoulder shirts, the sweeping ruffles on tops and skirts and stripes.
Tcherassi showcased a collection of flowing dresses in earth tones and silky fabrics, high waisted pants and shorts combined with off-the-shoulder cotton blouses. Prints mixed with stripes and pops of black and white gingham abounded.
The fashion show took place at Miami’s Ice Palace which was beautifully decorated inside and out. Fashionistas, bloggers, TV personalities among other public figures attended the chic event.
After a few seasons on hiatus, the event was dusted off and re-staged as exclusively a resortwear showcase last year with movie star Antonio Banderas as the honorary president and “ambassador.” Banderas returns in that role this year, according to organizers.
The shows are invitation-only, but the public can attend the following:
Master classes at Miami Dade College June 1-3. Tickets cost $45 for each session.
Banderas’ black-tie benefit gala June 2. Tickets cost $1,000.
Fashion Bash with Diego Torres on June 3. Tickets cost $50-$180.
